UGANDA'S Victoria side returns to the pitch boosted by the return of centre Timothy Mudoola and fly-half Faizal Gama in their clash against Rhinos in Nakuru, Kenya.

The Bamburi Super Series match this afternoon determines who tops pool B that has both teams with nine points but the hosts are on top having whipped Buffaloes 61-0 which Uganda’s Victoria beat 26-3.

Mudoola and Gama who were bound to miss the game citing work commitment were released by their employers uganda telecom and Hima Cement respectively to feature for Victoria.

‘It’s a big boost for us and coupled with the young blood on board victory is ours,” team coach Sam Ahamya stated.

Ahamya however ruled out centre Greg Lukendo due to injury but had still hopes on Chris Lubanga (fly-half), Brian Makalama and Simon Wakabi (fullback) that are yet to pass a late fitness test.
Meanwhile, Rugby Cranes head tactician Ham Onsando travelled to watch the match at the Nakuru athletics ground.

Onsando, whose Rwenzori side failed to qualify to the knock-out stages after losing 16-13 and 23-22 to Victoria and Rhinos host Buffaloes at Kampala Club, wants to analyse the Victoria players for selection on the national team.

“I want to identify Victoria players that are national team material. I am leaving former Rugby Cranes coach Yayiro Kasasa and Henry Musoke in charge of Rwenzori against Buffaloes of Kenya,” Onsando stated.

Uganda’s teams are sponsored by insurance company UAP, Kampala Coach, medical service provider AAR and communication firm Broadband.

Meanwhile, the Lady Cranes will play an international friendly against their Kenyan counterparts ahead of the Rwenzori clash at Kampala Club.
