YOUTHFUL Ugandan side Victoria will meet Kenya’s Cheetahs in the semi-finals of the Bamburi Rugby Super Series despite falling 36-3 to defending champions Rhinos in the final pool games in Nakuru on Saturday.
Victoria went into the match at Nakuru Athletics Club after winning their first two matches against compatriots Rwenzori and Buffaloes of Kenya.
In pool A, Victoria’s semifinal opponents weathered heavy storm before beating Sharks 30-20 to top their group and book a date with the Ugandans.
In Arusha, hosts Twigas were sent packing by visiting Lions from Kenya, who handed them a 49-8 thrashing to end their preliminary matches without a win and earn the Kenyans a second place finish in pool B.
