STATE minister for finance, planning and economic development, Rukiya Chekamondo, yesterday visited the Vision Group. She praised the management for turning a public enterprise into a profitable venture.
Chekamondo said the decision to set up regional radio stations, Bukedde TV and to expand was timely as the country is going into a politically important period.
She advised the company to uphold the values that have made it the preferred source of objective and informed journalism. She also asked management to invest in covering rural activities that enhance productivity.
“I hope the staff and management take full responsibility to ensure that the equipment and infrastructure are well managed,†she said.
