UGANDA’S representatives at the CECAFA Kagame Club championship URA, start their campaign for the $30,000 top prize today when they take on Kenya champions Sofapaka at Nyamirambo stadium.

In the opening game also attended by Rwanda President and tournament sponsor Paul Kagame on Saturday, APR beat Viatl’O 2-1.

URA coach Alex Isabirye said all his boys are set except Musa Doka who was nursing a toothache. The doctor was yet to assess his condition and confirm his availability for the game.
The tax boys will use a 4-4-2 system with Henry Kisekka and Mike Sserumaga assigned to look for goals against Sam Ssimbwa’s side.

Meanwhile, Ugandan centre referee Ali Kalyango yesterday passed a fitness test to make it three Ugandans officiating at the event in Rwanda.

Kalyango was a late replacement for Tanzanian Israel Mujuni who failed to make the grade. Other Ugandan referees in Rwanda are Dennis Batte and Samuel Kayondo.

ln another development, defending champions Atraco were yesterday fined $50 for skipping the pre-match meeting. The Rwandan side hosts Tanzania champions Simba in today’s second match.
