<b>Blackburn top in Gulu league</b> <br>SOCCER - Blackburn has won this year’s Gulu district Division One soccer league. The champions collected 19 points from 10 matches.

SOCCER - Blackburn has won this year’s Gulu district Division One soccer league. The champions collected 19 points from 10 matches. Gulu University and Diocesan United came second and third with 18 points each. Gulu like the Diocesan side won five, drew three, scored 20 goals and conceded seven goals.

UAF ready for green project

ATHLETICS - Uganda Athletics federation (UAF) will launch two schemes at celebrations to mark the World Athletics Day in Kitgum on Saturday. UAF will set in motion a national green project and Kids Athletics. The green project is a programme by the International Olympic Committee and the international athletics body, the IAAF, geared creating a green environment. UAF secretary Beatrice Ayikoru said yesterday that 500 trees will planted at the event in Kitgum.

CAF instructor prepares test

SOCCER - A Confederation of African Football referees physical fitness instructor Haruna Kebba will conduct a seminar and physical test for referees from the FUFA Zones One, Two and Ten at Mbale Municipal Stadium on Sunday. Over 50 referees including 11 women are expected to attend.
