UGANDA'S official FIFA World Cup broadcaster UBC has partnered with Silk Events and Uganda’s leading media house, the Vision Group to bring fans ‘live’ experience of international football starting this weekend.

The “big screen experience” comes to Kampala this weekend for the Champions League final, and will continue throughout the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Soccer fans will get an opportunity to predict probable team line-ups and technical preparations live on air during the soccer bonanza due to kick off in South Africa in 22 days time. The move is aimed at having fans interact with match presenters

“Listeners will have an opportunity to win gift hampers from the sponsors and also tickets to Kyadondo Rugby Club. We will also have live links at the match venues in South Africa in line with Vision Voice’s being the top soccer broadcaster of the English Premier League,” said The New Vision radios promotions boss Bills Mboijana.

UBC sales manager William Odoch said that the innovation will be tested on Saturday, during the Champions League final at Kyadondo Rugby Club when Inter Milan will be hosting Bayern Munich at the Bernabeau stadium in Madrid.
