RUGBY - Toyota Buffaloes played their hearts out to remain in the Nile Special Super 8 League when they defeated the Summerkamps 16-3 at the Kampala Rugby Club on Saturday. Summerkamps’ Collins Openypho scored a penalty to put his side 3-0 in the lead 3-0 but two penalties by Jasper Ochieng gave Buffaloes a 6-3 half time lead. A try by Kenneth Ochaka sealed the win.

Ssekandi tips youth

SOCCER - The Speaker of Parliament Edward Ssekandi has urged to youth to take sports seriously for the development of Uganda. Sekandi made the remarks while flagging off the Uganda team for the Africa COPA Coca-Cola Stars tournament in South Africa on Saturday. “Sport is now a very serious industry that can transform many lives,” said the speaker who encouraged more talent identification.
