EAST and central Africa soccer governing body CECAFA has named Ugandan FIFA referee Mohammed Sseggonga to handle an international friendly between Brazil and Tanzania on June 7.

Tanzanian FA and CECAFA president Leodegar Tenga said the friendly had been coordinated by President Jakaya Kikwete.

“We talked to our President (Kikwete) and he really made it all happen. He was enthusiastic right from the word go and got every needed machinery moving to make this dream come true,” Tenga said.

Desire Gahungu from Burundi and Rwanda’s Felicien Kabanda will be assistant referees.

It will be the second warm-up game for the Brazilians on the continent ahead of the World Cup after taking on Zimbabwe on June 2.
