DEO ‘Yellow Boy’ Akope rediscovered his rhythm, shooting two under par 70 to lead the Rwanda leg of the KCB East African Tour in Kigali yesterday.

DEO ‘Yellow Boy’ Akope rediscovered his rhythm, shooting two under par 70 to lead the Rwanda leg of the KCB East African Tour in Kigali yesterday.
Douglas Mazune reports that MTN sponsored Akope who finished ninth in the Burundi Open last weekend, regained top form that saw him win the Arusha leg of the East African Tour two weeks ago, as an array of Kenyan rivals struggled on the fast greens.
Akope who lined up four birdies and two bogeys, lies just one stroke clear of Kenyans Simon Ngigi and Jacob Okello, tied in second position.
“It’s a tough course. The game is very difficult because the greens are dry and there are no signs of rain.
