SCRABBLE - Uganda has added four participants to her team for the East African Scrabble Association Championships (EASA) that start today at Jovani Hotel in Bakuli, a Kampala suburb. Chris Mugisha, Stephen Ssali, Denis Owor and Chris Ntege now bring the number of the Ugandan team to 20 in the three-day event.

SOCCER - Regular campaigners Kataka FC humbled Namakwekwe FC with a 4-1 defeat in the Mbale First Division League soccer match played at Mbale Municipal Stadium. The victory boosted Kataka’s chances of qualifying for the Zonal mini-league due June 12. In an earlier outing, Kataka who are now table leaders with 30 points, trounced Busamaga 5-1 while UPDF, that beat Namakwekwe 2-0, were disarmed 1-0 in their own fortress by CRO Junior.
