The police may enlist the services of Interpol to look for the missing district chairman, Baker Ikoba Tigawalana. The southeastern Police commander, Christopher Kubai, on Wednesday said the hunt was still on and may be extended beyond Uganda’s borders.

“Tigawalana’s arrest warrant has no expiry date and our officers have orders to arrest him on sight,” Kubai said. He said although they had information indicating the LC5 chief may have fled the country, they had to cross-check it thoroughly before alerting Interpol.

Tigawalana went missing in December last year after the court of appeal convicted him of a 2003 murder of his political opponent Fred Nume Musiitwa.
