MOYO-Four Police officers have been arrested over torturing a suspect to death. Ben Drici Kiwanuka, Charles Ogwoc, Celestine Mutahigwa and Patrick Okiror allegedly tortured Ramadan Taban of Ukuni village in Itula sub-county during interrogations on December 2, 2009. Taban died two days later at Moyo Hospital. He was suspected of breaking into Ndirindiri Police post and stealing three guns and 90 bullets on December 1, 2009.

Residents want Police post
AMOLATAR-Residents of Namasale sub-county have asked the Government to set up a modern Police post at Bangladesh landing site to curb crime. The LC2 chairperson, Bakar Amis, said since the Police post was opened in the area 12 years ago, no proper premises have been constructed. He urged the Government to provide unipots or build proper structures at the landing site so that documents and suspects can be kept safely.
