RUGBY Cranes tactician Ham Onsando will have no time to rest as he has been handed a tough assignment in the 2010/2011 Confederation of Africa Rugby (CAR) tournament.

The Rugby Cranes that defeated Zimbabwe 24-15 before losing to Kenya 33-25 in the Elgon/Victoria cup on Saturday has been placed in the toughest pool dubbed the ‘group of death’.

The Cranes date traditional rivals Kenya, Cameroon and Africa’s number one non-test playing nation Namibia in the CAR tournament that kicks off next month.

The Cranes, who defeated Namibia, Kenya and Madagascar in the quarters, semis and final of the same event in 2007, has since then struggled to reproduce that form.

Meanwhile the team returned to the drawing board yesterday to work on a strategy ahead of the Elgon/Victoria Cup return leg against Kenya in Nairobi on Saturday.
