Singer Angella Katumtumba is reeling from the pain of an accident on a video set. The singer, a British Council International Climate Change icon, sustained injuries during the shooting of Let’s Go Green, the new single about climate change.

During the shooting of the video, high definition cameras and exclusive white lights were brought in especially for the shoot. Unfortunately, the strong lights burnt Katatumba’s face. After the shoot, her entire face bloated almost beyond recognition. Her eyes were also burnt and wounded so much that they turned green. Her arms and neck were also burnt.

The singer, who was blinded by the incident and in so much pain, was rushed to Midland Private Eye Hospital in Kampala, where for a week now, she is being treated for her eye sight and burns. It is not yet known how the accident will affect Katatumba’s new campaign to plant 300 trees, a partnership with Makerere University. Big international pop stars like the late Michael Jackson have been known to sustain injuries at video shoots.
