ANGELLA Katatumba, a popular local artiste, has been discharged from hospital where she was treated for injuries sustained during a video shoot on climate change.

Angella, recently named the British Council International climate change ambassador, was discharged from Midland Hospital in Kampala on Monday and was yesterday recuperating and carrying out light duties at Hotel Diplomate, where she is a managing director.

Looking far better than the image released yesterday in The New Vision following the June 25 ordeal, the bubbly artiste said she was happy to be on the path to full recovery.

She described what happened to her as an occupational hazard, adding that she would not sue the firm that was shooting the video.

Angella sustained the injuries on her face after she was reportedly exposed to intense bright white lights at close range while shooting the video of her climate change song.

By yesterday, the colour of her eyes had returned to white from green but she said objects were still blurred.

Her father, Boney Katatumba, the consul of Pakistan, yesterday expressed joy at what he described as her daughter’s miraculous recovery.

Her doctor, Dr. Rose Mutumba, said she will recover her eyesight fully in three weeks.
