WORLD Commonwealth Games 3000m steeplechase champion Dorcus Inzikuru and former World Junior bronze medallist Abraham Chepkirwok have been dropped for the Africa Senior Athletics championships.

The two were not among those invited for training for the biennial continental event that starts July 29 in Nairobi, Kenya. American based triple jumper Sarah Nambawa is on the list.

Inzikuru is still short of fitness that saw her become the world champion in 2005 in Helsinki, Finland, while Chepkirwok has been silent for four months.

The local athletics federation is looking for sh35m to train and transport the team for the 5-day event. Fresh Diary has boosted the athletes’ diet with 30 litres of milk daily.

Boniface Kiprop, whose last competition was the national cross country championships, was also missing on the team, which has World cross country bronze medallist Moses Kipsiro. Kipsiro finished 5th in the Aviva Grand Prix race in London Saturday.
