Mutesa’s wife to be buried on Monday

LADY Damalie Nakawombe Kisosonkole the widow to the late Sir Edward Musteesa II will be laid to rest on Monday, July 19.
The Kabaka’s press secretary, Dick Kasolo, said Damalie would be buried at 2:00pm at the Namirembe Cathedral Cemetery, the same burial ground where the mother of Ssekabaka Mutesa II, Drusilla Namaganda was laid to rest.
The requiem mass will take place at Namirembe Cathedral at 11:00am on Monday.
Nakawombe, 81, died on July 12 at Nakasero Hospital after a long illness. She was born in 1929 in Mukono. She went to Buddo Junior School, Kings College Buddo and later was the first African to study at Sherbon College in Great Britain.
