Makumbi’s Bidco recovers from loss to hammer Ngora FC 6-0

BIDCO Uganda (BUL) FC recovered from a loss on the opening day of the Eastern Region Super Mini-league to humiliate Ngora Fredda Carr 6-0 at Teens playground in Malaba yesterday.

BIDCO Uganda (BUL) FC recovered from a loss on the opening day of the Eastern Region Super Mini-league to humiliate Ngora Fredda Carr 6-0 at Teens playground in Malaba yesterday.

Bidco coach veteran Richard Makumbi showed character when his side out played Ngora from the kick off to the last whistleMakumbi seems to have mastered the art of aiding lower division teams to higher levels after he formerly did it with Lugazi based Scoul, Buikwe’s Nalubaale, Wakiso’s Bunamwaya and the latest with Firemasters football club.

Jinja based Bugembe FC kicked off their campaign with a 3-0 victory over Moroto’s Victoria while Rock Tigers from Busia edged fancied Amus Kwarikwar of Patrick Isiagi 1-0 in the toughest encounter of the day in Malaba. Ochero FC from Kaberamaido managed to secure a point against Amazon FC after hard work that earned them a vital 1-1 draw.

In the Kampala Super mini league, Life Eternal, who launched their campaign on a winning tone faltered when they lost 2-1 to Kibuli.

In other games, Super Cubs could not sustain their form of the opening day as they lost to Katwe United in grudge match pitting these long time rivals. Wandegeya, Kibuye, City Lads and Happy Boys FC also won their matches to keep on course to qualify for the super mini league.

In Buganda region, Scoul, Kira, Ngalo Nkalu and Katale all launched their bids with wins. Kasana got easy points as Yale did not show up for their encounter yesterday. The best teams in the super mini leagues qualify for the newly introduced Big league.

The mini league matches continue today in Eastern with youthful Zone Two champions CRO Junior FC who have won their two matches have a chance of securing a quarter final slot if they beat Bugiri’s Amazon this evening.Zone Ten champions Busembatia Town Council who lost 1-0 in their opening match to Amus Kwarkwari but recovered to beat Wakawaka 3-2 take on Busia based Rock Tigers in a match they must win to keep their quarter final qualification hopes alive.

Meanwhile, tournament organisers Eastern Football Association (EFA) have received a cash boost of Sh1.5m/- and a donation of 500 T-shirts from BIDCO Uganda Limited worth sh1.5m/-.

The donations were given out to all the 19 First Division clubs that are participating in this year’s competition.FUFA vice president (finance) Anthony Kimuli handed over the items.

Busia Fisheries FC team manager Franco Mukama received them on behalf of the organisers. Kimuli, who represented FUFA thanked BISDCO Uganda Limited for the good gesture.
