Sounds funny but, all the 14 Big Brother housemates are up for possible eviction this week. Biggie reluctantly announced it after Monday morning’s nomination session in which South Africa’s Lerato topped the list of the most disliked by housemates.

Isn’t that too soon for contestants to start planning their exit? You may be tempted to brand this as just another of those twists Biggie institutes for the sake of it. In fact, the housemates themselves didn’t take him seriously either and continue to have fun.

But what if Biggie is dead serious this time, seeing as the guys at M-Net are promising lots we are not expecting? That is why we do not have to take this for granted; so let us get on with the voting to keep our Hannington in the house — maybe this time he will bring home the sh445m jackpot.

Let us all type “Vote Hannington” and send the SMS to 6626 across all networks, or vote via the official Big Brother website http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Vote by clicking on his picture. Here, you can vote as many times as you can, once every hour.

Meanwhile, things are still looking good for our boy, as he has not got any enemies yet, and not many people nominated him during the Monday nominations.

I am wondering though, whether an all-nice Hannington is good for our ratings, seeing as we are used to him in the ‘crazy’ persona. Do not call me the devil’s advocate here — I am just wondering.

Back to our point, Hannington is still so nice I can confirm that Meryl, the sassy Namibian from Season Two, on Monday intimated to Biggie that she is considering a romantic relationship with him.

But that is not to say it is only him that stands a chance with the unpredictable Namibian. She is eyeing two other guys — Zimbabwe’s Munya Kidzonga from Season Three and Tanzanian Season One charmer, Mwisho Mwampamba.

So our boy might have to pull his weight to hook up with Meryl, whose ratings are equally good that the two would complement each other — talk about two totally hyper people in a relationship.

However, relationships are not yet a need for anyone in the house right now, as each is still excited about being back. Right now they just have crashes on one another.

Just when I thought Angola’s Tatiana was fast diving into Munya’s arms, the flirtatious beauty went and gave Nigeria’s Uti, Hannington, Malawi’s Code and Botswana’s Kaone a cosy dance each. Then Kenya’s Sheila is torn between Nigeria’s Uti and Mwisho, yet chances are she might fall for a girl as well since she’s bisexual.

So excitement is just about it for now. But this season, with the most entertaining and controversial housemates from the previous four seasons, is a time bomb waiting to explode. For starters, Meryl on Tuesday morning scandalised Sammi with an early morning lap dance. And there is so much more coming.

You can catch the 24-hour spectacle on DStv Channel 198, a daily wrap-up on M-Net and UBC at 8:00pm, or get your daily updates in The New Vision.
