RUGBY Cranes 7s coach John Musoke has said his team will be ready for the rivals’ challenge in the Commonwealth Games due October 3-14 in New Delhi, India.

Musoke explained that in such tournaments, players performance depends on how they are prepared mentally and physically.

The Cranes have been pooled in group C along with reigning IRB 7sseries world champions Samoa, Kenya and Papua New Guinea.

“All pools are tough and it doesn’t matter where we are, but the readiness for such high billed event is what matters,” Musoke said.

“We have started training and hope to raise our mental and physical fitness in the next two months.

Musoke added that, “I’m confident that if well prepared, we can upset the world class teams.

At the 2006 games in Melbourne, Uganda defeated Tonga and Sri Lanka before losing to Kenya in the bowl semi final.
