Form associations to revive Toro schools

THERE is need for a strong association of former students of Toro’s big schools such as Nyakasura, St. Leo’s College Kyegobe, Mpanga SS and Kyebambe Secondary School.

The purpose of this association should be to revive the education standards of these schools. An Old Boy of St. Leo’s who goes to Ntare or Kitovu may not want to talk about St Leo’s because of its performance at the at the national level.

Who would not want to hear that Bidandi Ssali or Joseph Sseogerere went to Nyakasura and St Leo’s?

Schools like St. Leo’s are disrupted by strikes every year and that affects their performance. Because of this, some prominent schools in Mukono and Kampala do not admit students from such schools.

So, OBs and OGs can help improve the behaviour of the students in their former school. I applaud Nyakasura School’s initiative. The association of OBs and OGs of Nyakasura sat at Imperial Royale early this year to plan how to revive “Nyakasura’s glory. That is the way to go.
