CAPT. Habib Nsamba, who was shot and injured during the Ssembabule NRM election violence, remains admitted at Kampala International Hospital a month after he was transferred from Kitovu Hospital in Masaka.
Nsamba, whose condition remains unstable, is scheduled to undergo another operation.
He sustained multiple injuries in his private parts after being shot by Alex Mugabi, the bodyguard of Lwemiyaga MP Theodore Ssekikubo during a scuffle over polls at Ssembabule district playground.
“We need to remove fluid from his testicles and that calls for another operation,†said Dr. Anet Khigi, a Kenyan specialist and radiologist attached to the hospital.
Nsamba was airlifted to Kampala for specialised treatment by foreign affairs minister Sam Kutesa on August 6.
