The most notable benefit of jackfruit is its ability to lower blood pressure. Doreen Tindyebwa, a nutritionist, says tys this is possible because the fruit is high in potassium, which regulates blood pressure.

Have you time and again battled constipation? Well, Jackfruit is the solution. It aids healthy digestion and helps treat constipation, diarrhoea and indigestion. It is also known to prevent ulcers.

“People suffering from asthma and skin infections can eat the fruit for a natural remedy,” says Tindyebwa.

The wonder fruit also contains anti-ageing properties, thereby enabling one retain a youthful look.

“Jackfruit root is recommended for asthma patients. When the root is boiled, nutrients are extracted. The juice controls asthma, diarrhoea and fever,” says Tindyebwa.

Dr. David Ssali, a dermatologist, says Jackfruit is a factory of sorts. He says it manufactures vitamins and is rich in important nutrients such as vitamins A and C, potassium, calcium, iron, sodium, and zinc. .

Vitamin C, an antioxidant, protects the body against free radicals and holds body cells together, strengthening one’s immune system and keeping the gums healthy.

Jackfruit is also recommended if you are watching your weight because it is low in calories.
