Isingiro North picks Minister Rwamirama

STATE minister for animal industry Lt. Col. Bright Rwamirama has been declared the NRM candidate for Isingiro North constituency.

STATE minister for animal industry Lt. Col. Bright Rwamirama has been declared the NRM candidate for Isingiro North constituency.
Rwamirama polled 22,168 votes from six sub-counties of Kabingo, Kaberebere, Isingiro town council, Birere, Nyamiyanja and Masha.
His opponent Dr. Posiano Mugyenyi got 19,492 votes.
The results were released on Sunday by Robert Kayeyera Isabirye, the NRM electoral commission officer.
In Bukanga county, Gregory Matovu defeated the incumbent, Nathan Byanyima. Matovu got 28,546 votes and Byanyima polled 19,741.
For LC5 chairman, Ignatius Byaruhanga was the winner with 48873 votes, Dominick Kashaki was the second 36569 votes while Mubiru polled the 3rd position with 5607 votes.
Grace Byarugaba will compete with the opposition for the district woman member of Parliament after polling 48502 votes while her rivals Justine Kashaija got 1111o votes and Grace Kakwenza got 17729 votes.
