RASTA Jonah Ntanzi, a fan of Cinderella Sanyu a.k.a Cindy, had a chance to hang out with the singer last Monday. He had a chat with Pidson Kareire about his experience with Cindy.

Occupation: Businessman.
Favourite music: I love reggae music, but recently, I fell madly in love with Cindy’s music. I am changing my taste to Afro-pop music because these songs send out strong messages. Cindy, for instance, sings about what affects our daily life.

There are many artistes; why do you like Cindy the most?
Her music. But as a man, I must tell you that I admire her; she is hot! Her style, personality and figure all combined draw me to her.

When did you begin “feeling” her music?
When she was in Blu3, I was in for reggae music. Recently, she came up with that song Ayokyayokya which opened the way for her music in my heart.

What did you expect of her before you met her?
Nothing much. I just wanted to make history and I think I have succeeded. It has been my wish to meet one of those beautiful celebrities and I have achieved that.

How was your meeting?
It was fun and interesting; Cindy is a simple girl. The whole experience with her was so lovely and it was memorable. I might charge money from those who will want to shake my hands now because they shook Cindy’s.

As for my jacket; I will take weeks to wash it because I don’t want to lose that scent (of her perfume) that rubbed off when I hugged her.

Did you come prepared to hug her?
No. I did not think she would freely talk to me like she did.

What new thing did you learn about Cindy from this meeting?
She is simple. She is always smiling and apologetic. She came late for our appointment, but as soon as she arrived, she apologised for the delay.

What did you talk about?
We talked about her relationship, music and her former group mates, and she was free and jovial while talking to me. She also talked about her lifestyle.

Did you notice anything good or bad about her?
She is shy, but she is strict and does not pretend. If she says no it is no.

What is the one thing you will always remember about meeting Cindy?
I will never forget her tender and soft hand shake and that hug.

Has the meeting accelerated your love for her?
I am a rasta; I genuinely like her song Ayokyayokya especially when I am very happy in the nightclub. I request for it several times in the club. I will always love her music.
