The boys’ defending champions of the National Schools Basketball Association (NASBA) Crane High, have been given a lime light to defend their title after the association named the Kitintale based school as hosts of this year’s independence edition.

The 15th edition will be played on October 9 at the school courts and is expected to attract over 30 basketball playing schools.

“We have sent invitations to about 35 schools and we expect a big turn up,” NASBA secretary Kigozi Kafumbe.

Uganda to send team for DAIMLER

The Uganda Olympic Committee under the Olympique Africa Foundation umbrella will send a team of U-15 pupils to Burundi for the Zone V Daimler tournament due September 24-27.

“This is an opportunity for the young players to expose their talent and learn more from this kind of competition at this level,” said Andrew Omalla Geno, the spokesperson of UOC.
