Steamy ballroom dance routines heat up the stage to mark the start of the Bride & Groom Expo at the gala night held at the Hotel Africana poolside last Thursday evening.
Karim, Lydia, Sophie, Brovin and Cynthia are dancers from Vantage Communications Dance studio in Kamwokya and they enthralled the guests with a sexy Salsa routine, the sweltering rumba and regal waltz.
The gorgeous ladies in sexy little dresses and the gentlemen in form-fitting clothes gyrating and floating across the stage raised the temperature in the otherwise cold night.
To dance is to live; that seemed to be the message the dancers wanted to send out because of the emotion, the intensity and sheer joy with which they danced. They made you feel the heartbeat and lifeline running through the music.
Karim Mukwano, Lydia Nakavuma and Cynthia Nantubwe also held dance workshops over the three days where beginners were taught basic steps of the salsa and waltz.
They are also instructors at Vantage Dance Studio at Kisementi where they teach popular dance classes all week, covering all types of dance like rumba, salsa, cha cha, waltz, quickstep, modern dance and hip hop.
