Red Cross trains Kamuli youth
Holland Red Cross volunteers have trained Kamuli Red Cross youth in communication of information and life planning skills. They urged the youth to have a close relationship with adults. Speaking at the closure of a five-day camp at the Rev. Nayenga Primary School in Nabwigulu sub-county in Kamuli district recently, the team leader, Andreas Schnoor, appealed to parents to raise their children well. Schnoor said the youth are often blamed for engaging in uncouth behaviour, yet parents do not guide them.

Residents blamed over failed projects
Water state minister Jennifer Namuyangu has attacked residents who fail government projects, describing them as unpatriotic. Commissioning a piped water project for Namutumba town council, Namuyangu said the water had delayed because some residents stopped the contractor from laying the water pipes through their plots. She noted that the Government had extended water to seven towns, which include Kalisizo, Wobulenzi, Namutumba, Busembatia, Budaka and four small towns with funding from the World Bank.
