POPULAR gospel artiste/song writer Grace Morgan is in trouble following a fateful act of charity he extended for a dear friend. Morgan’s woes began in 2008, when his friend, Fred Kizito, approached him for financial assistance to travel to Japan.
Morgan then referred his friend to some city money-lenders who gave him sh21m, after surrendering his land-title to them. When time for payment was due, Kizito could not trace the money lenders, whose phones were also off.
He later learnt that his land (located at Nsuube in Mukono), had been sold. Kizito has now filed the case at Old Kampala Police Station; file number, SD REF 76/26/08/10.
Kizito, who claims to be receiving death threats, maintains that Morgan was an accomplice in the dirty-deal. Morgan, however says, he just wanted to help out his friend and, he never knew the money lenders had sinister motives.
