THE deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, has lashed out at men who have affairs with disabled women at night and ignore them during the day, saying they expose them to psychological torture.

Kadaga called upon such men to wed their lovers as the lame also deserve marriage.

She was speaking at Malamu Centre in Kamuli town on Thursday during the closing of a one-day workshop organised by the National Union of Women with Disabilities in conjunction with Kamuli Women with Disabilities Association (KAWIDA).

The workshop, held under the theme, “Sex by choice, not Chance”, was aimed at equipping participants with knowledge about their rights and discussing favourable resolutions to be forwarded to the parliamentary committee on gender for scrutiny.

KAWIDA chairperson Joy Nakyesa said men think lame women have sex by chance and deny them the right to choose whether to use a condom or not, thus, exposing them to HIV/AIDS.
