Are you earning from your talent?

IT is not only Kipsiro with talent; you, too, have yours. I had a conversation with songwriter Sylver Kyagulanyi and our conclusion was that there is no one without a talent, just like there’s no one created without a purpose.

IT is not only Kipsiro with talent; you, too, have yours. I had a conversation with songwriter Sylver Kyagulanyi and our conclusion was that there is no one without a talent, just like there’s no one created without a purpose.

Each one of us was born to contribute something special to the world, to help in solving a certain problem affecting humanity and our natural talents are part of the package that enables us achieve that.

Someone born to entertain will most probably be good in story-telling, singing, dancing, writing, acting, sports e.t.c. To me, talent to a special inborn ability to do easily what others find difficult. A comedian does not struggle to make you laugh; he does it almost unconsciously. Other people may struggle to smile, yet your smile comes naturally, attracting customers to your business. That’s your talent!

If you were created to become a leader, then you have a special charism that enables you move masses to your side. There are people who recommend to everybody the products they use such as clothes and cars. In actual sense, you are marketing, thus you have talent in business.

Maybe people with problems in relationships or personal life keep running to you for advice. You are talented in counselling and motivational speaking. Why not begin earning from that talent? Maybe you love singing at church; why not record your music? Some people are so good in planning that anyone wanting a good business idea rushes to them, yet they are crying of unemployment! Your business could be creating business ideas for others!

You could find that your most underlooked talent is the one to make you a millionaire! Some of the highest paid basketballers grew up hating their height until they discovered what their height was making them achieve.
