I am not convinced by the Pam Awards rating

EDITOR: I have observed the controversy surrounding the just concluded Pam Awards and here are my arguments:

EDITOR: I have observed the controversy surrounding the just concluded Pam Awards and here are my arguments:

  • In the overall category of the artiste of the year, Bebe Cool emerged winner but surprisingly, he was beaten to the male artist of the year by Mose and Radio. How did Radio emerge winner without being the best male?


  • The song of the year was Samalie Matovu's Omukwano gunyuma and Kasepiki was album of the year. That was fine but the award for song writer of the year was given to Silva Kyagulanyi rendering Prince Charles who had won the album and song of the year walk away without any award! How was this possible?


  • For female artiste of the year, Irene was notable in this case but did not feature in any other category besides that. What made her female artist of the year?


  • Finally, I did not agree with Eddie Kenzo's upcoming artist of the award for he has been on the scene for a while now. But where is Coco Finger for his Emikono wagulu?
