ONCE you have moved into your house, you want to invite friends and relatives for a house warming party. And as long as you walk into the house you want to feel that sense of pride and success.
The interior of your home speaks volumes about details of your personality. By having accessories of your choice, your home becomes a reflection of yourself.

Curtain tiebacks
Your guests should sip a hot beverage as rays of natural light stream through the windows and cast light into the room. So as you open the curtains, think about tiebacks. Curtain tiebacks can artistically hold the curtain in place while gentle rays of light stream into the room. They come in all materials and designs. From iron to fabric stitched to the ends of the curtain. Remember to have at least an extra pair of curtain nets for a rainy day.

Cushions and cushion covers
Cushions are the best way to tie in the colour scheme of a room. They will not only add beauty, but also support the back when seated. A little more cushion can make magic happen on your sofa. Cushions make sofas look even better. If your sofas are old, cushions can them look great. Cushions add warmth, texture and atmosphere to a room.

When shopping for cushions, you need at least three for the couch and some coordinating ones for your chairs. Less than three looks less appealing.

Cushion covers with a bold pattern, geometric or a kick of colour can make the most neutral and dull sofas come to life. Add colour or hide problems with neatly folded, nicely contrasting cushion covers. Have up to five cushions on a sofa and ensure that you have an extra set of cushion covers in silk, satin and cotton with beautiful embellishments.

Chandelier candle holder
It is easy to stumble on a steel or clay candle holder. But a chandelier will come in handy especially when you have guests over for dinner. Place the chandelier in the middle of the room. The candles will cast soft pools of light on the dinners. Have them as part of the table arrangement and they will give the centre piece flowers an enhanced look.

Vases
Get vases in different shapes that scream your unique personality. And let the different colours guide you on where to place each vase. Besides the translucent ones, there are the turquoise vases. Vases are perfect for glass table tops, coffee tables and bathroom corners.

Cutlery
Do not let your guests use scratched and bent cutlery. If it is steak that you are serving, have proper steak knives, so that the dinners do not struggle as they cut the meat. Ensure that your cutlery is clean, polished and kept in a cool dry place.
