Do I have a kidney problem?

Nov 14, 2010

FOR how long have you had the pain? Urine can turn yellow if one is dehydrated or suffering from a urinary tract infection. Is your urine smelly, and do you experience pain when passing urine?

Dear Doctor,
I do not urinate as often as I used to and my urine is yellow. I also get chest pain that sometimes spreads to my back. I also get random joint pain that usually lasts a short time. Am I developing a kidney disease?

The symptoms of your condition are not specific and do not point to a particular condition. Symptoms that are associated with kidney disease include swelling of the face in the morning and pain on both sides of the abdomen.

Do a urinalysis test and ultra sound to find out what the problem could be. Kidney disease is diagnosed through a urine test.
