There is a wide range of vocational courses for students

The Ministry of Education wishes to inform Agaba and the public that there are opportunities for students' skills development courses in over 140 Government institutions.
Under Universal Post-Primary Education and Training, there is free education for Business Technical Vocational Education and Training. The Government is also providing non-formal training in more than 100 centres across the country where all costs are covered by the Government.
Opportunities for skills-oriented development are available in 750 institutions including colleges of commerce, agriculture forestry, fisheries, cooperatives, meteorology, survey and management.
There are also oppurtunities in technical colleges, farm schools, community polytechnics, vocational training institutions and community polytechnic instructors colleges.
A wide variety of business, technical and vocational courses are offered in these colleges. The Government pays for over 50,000 every year to study vocational courses.
These include plastering and drywall systems, metal roofing, refrigeration, landscape gardening, carpentry, joinery, cabinetmaking, painting and decorating. Others are bricklaying, industrial control, electrical installations, plumbing and heating, repairing and maintaining transportation vehicles, design and making and maintaining of anything involving electronics and machines.
There are also opportunities for printing, information network cabling, and network support, Web design and IT and Software applications.
There are also courses which include fashion, foods and beverages industry as well as the hospitality and personal care which include bakery, caring, restaurant service, cooking, beauty therapy and ladies/men’s hairdressing.
