STRANGE BUT TRUE: Dead man impregnates woman in the US

THE day started well for the 38-year-old female mortuary worker, Felicity Marmaduke. That morning, she was supposed to receive, clean and dress up the remains of one deceased man at the Mourning Glory Mortuary, just outside of Lexington, Missouri.

According to her statement to the police, Marmaduke said while washing the corpse, she was surprised to see the dead man get an erection. She had never heard or seen a post mortem erection. Being alone, Marmaduke got ideas. She closed the door, straddled the dead man and proceeded to have sex with him. Much to her surprise, the dead man came to orgasm after several minutes.
She would have kept it a secret but, a few weeks later, Marmaduke had a positive pregnancy test while receiving a routine medical exam.
When she told her doctor the circumstances that could have led to the conception, he decided to notify the police and she was arrested.
The Police charged her with desecration of the dead and necrophilia (an erotic attraction to or sexual intercourse with a corpse).
In an interesting twist of events, Marmaduke’s lawyers have also filed papers to sue the dead man’s family for child support. They want, once court establishes the circumstances of her pregnancy, the dead man’s estate to cater for the child’s upbringing.
