Candidate to rid Kasese of garbage

GODFREY Kabyanga, a candidate for mayorship of Kasese municipality, has promised to collect all the garbage in the town within 90 days if elected.

GODFREY Kabyanga, a candidate for mayorship of Kasese municipality, has promised to collect all the garbage in the town within 90 days if elected.

Kabyanga, who is contesting on the NRM ticket, also promised to fight corruption among civil servants.

He was addressing a rally at St. Immaculate primary school in Kemihhoko village in Kasese municipality on Thursday.

Kabyanga is standing with Nelson Ndungo, the FDC party flag- bearer.

He promised to lobby for funds from the central government to work on the drainage system in the municipality.

Kabyanga appealed to the residents not to sell their land yet, saying the resource was likely to fetch more money in the years to come.

He also pledged to facilitate the youth to enable them to develop their talents.
The Kasese municipality parliamentary candidate, James Mbahimba, promised to lobby for the split of Nyamwamba division into two once elected.

He said the splitting of the division would help the local community access better services like schools and health care.

The two candidates also highlighted the manifesto of the NRM party presidential candidate Museveni.
