KHALID Buga, the cousin and former driver of Arua municipality MP, Hussein Akubar Godi, attracted wild cheers at a rally when he campaigned for Dr. Gabriel Aridru, another contestant for the seat.

Aridru kicked off his campaigns at Mvara Core Primary Teachers College play grounds on Thursday last week.
Buga called upon the youth and NRM members to rally behind Aridru.

“It is very important to unite and leave aside religious differences,” he said.
He also told the voters to ask Godi to account for constituency development funds.

“Ask him why he is driving posh cars when his voters are languishing in poverty,” he said.

Four other contestants, UPC’s Nelson Cemari, DP’s Fadil Lemeriga, Habib Jogo Asega of the PPP and an independent, Ja’afar Alekua, jointly addressed a rally at Muktar Mosque.

Godi started his re-election bid at Kabir market.
