UGANDA Hockey Association (UHA) says it has received another boost of 30,000 US dollars from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) towards acquisition of a modern playing ground. The grant was declared to Uganda during the 2002 Federation of International Hockey (FIH) congress held last month in Path, Australia.

Academy on
TWENTY-one school girls have been summoned to attend the second edition of the British Council sponsored cricket academy scheduled to start tomorrow at National council of sports headquarters Lugogo. The participants are expected to report at Lugogo hostel tomorrow for the one-week event .

Semanda top
STEVEN Semanda went another step towards his first major pool title by advancing to the third round of Champion of Champions tournament on Saturday. Semanda beat Julius Lukaya 3-0 for a third round place at Yakobo Joint in Ntinda. It was a brilliant show by Semanda who was joined by Jonah Turigye and Moses Kiggundu.

Bowling on
OVER 80 boys and girls will take part in the first Stanbic Bank Kampala Kids tenpin bowling league that gets underway today at the Alleygators alley at Garden City. The league will comprise of five teams with ten players each and will be played on Monday and Tuesdays. Ends
