JOYCE Meyer might be one of the world’s most powerful and wealthiest preachers but the road to her success is extremely unbelievable.
As a child, Meyer was sexually abused by her alcoholic and violent father who always beat his wife.
Meyer went through a series of broken relationships until she met her husband Dave.
The relationship did not, however, change her life till she turned born-again in 1976.
Giving her life testimony to a huge congregation of born-again Christians at Nakivubo Stadium, Meyer assured them that if God could do it for her, so could He for them.
Meyer, who was last in Uganda two years ago, came at the invitation of the First Lady, Janet Museveni.
She said she was in Uganda to teach none believers about Jesus Christ and to make believers commit themselves deeper into the life of God.
Meyer, a renown bible teacher, was accompanied by her husband Dave.
Present were ethics and integrity minister Miria Matembe, Rubaga Miracle Centre Pastor Robert Kayanja and Pastor Gary Skinner of Kampala Pentecostal Church. Ends
