Pakistan Opens Consulate

AFTER 27 years of absence, Pakistan on Thursday opened a consulate in Uganda following the closure of its High Commission in 1976.

AFTER 27 years of absence, Pakistan on Thursday opened a consulate in Uganda following the closure of its High Commission in 1976.
The consulate at Katatumba suites on Colville Street in Kampala was opened with the installation of Bonney Katatumba, the honourary council of Pakistan in Uganda. The Pakistani flag was hoisted by the country’s High Commissioner based in Nairobi, Ahmed Kidwai.
State minister for industry Richard Nduhura officiated at the opening ceremony.
