By Reuben Olita in Nairobi KENYAN president Mwai Kibaki is back at Nairobi hospital where he was admitted when he was involved in an accident last year. Doctors said yesterday Kibaki was admitted to enable him undergo tests and “to take a few days rest†due to a blood clot in his left leg and mild blood pressure. The vice-president, Wamalwa Kijana, left for London over the weekend for an official visit but was also to get a medical check-up while in London. A brief statement from the Presidential Press Service said, “Following investigations carried out yesterday (Sunday), doctors treating President Mwai Kibaki have found it prudent to have the president admitted in hospital, to enable them carry out additional tests. “The president has therefore been admitted at the Nairobi Hospital to enable him undergo the tests.†“We have advised the president to take complete bed rest and remain immobilised for a few days.†Dr Dan Gikonyo said Kibaki would be in the hospital for 10 days but would continue carrying out his duties which do not require movement. Kibaki was admitted at the same hospital before he was flown to Wellington hospital in London on December 3 where he stayed for 10 days. He had suffered a fractured arm and ankle. Meanwhile, todays scheduled one-day visit to Kenya by Sudanese President Omar El Bashir has been postponed. Ends
