TODAY’s action in Mbarara and Tororo will draw the curtain on the Nile Special Super League paving way for the CECAFA Club championship that kicks off on Sunday.

Coming off two consecutive losses to Villa and Police, KCC’s Danish coach Jan Fray will be desperately searching for an away win against the Tororo side.

Fifth placed KCC, who have lost three and won four of their eight encounters, will be praying that the Benjamin Jamhuri, Kisha Jalendo back line finally finds its form.

The Lugogo side’s porous defence on Wednesday suffered yet another blow with a 3-0 whipping by Express in a friendly.

Strikers Badru Magala, Vincent Alumayi and Herman Isweka are the men likely to give Fray headaches.

“I think it was experience that denied us victory against Villa but we learnt a lot,” said Magala of their last encounter.

Coach Charles Namakola is expected to field Ali Ssekasamba to boost the striking line.

Embattled Mbarara and Simba are both desperate for points.

Mbarara who have only won one of their past nine outings and Simba, coming off five straight defeats, are third and fourth respectively from the bottom of the soccer league table.

A win will therefore be a great boost to their campaigns that currently have all the markings of a drop at the end of the season if the trend is not reversed.
