GEOFFREY Higenyi got a rude welcome to Mbarara FC’s technical bench while Jan Fray was happy for an away win in the Nile Special Super League yesterday.
Despite Mbarara taking the lead as early as the 19th minute, Simba, under the command of Sam Timbe, fought back to secure maximum away points at Kakyeka stadium.
Robert Kabanda opened the scoring for Simba after 23 minutes with a curling free kick before he forced Mbarara’s defence to error 10 minutes later to give the visitors a 2-1 half time lead. He sent a long pass which Mbarara defender Jude Lwassa sent into the net.
David Kalungi scored the other goal.
After two consecutive losses, KCC took maximum points at King George Vi stadium.
Noah Kasule’s 13th minute striker after Khisa Jalendo’s pass and Badru Kiyega’s 61st strike were enough for KCC to triumph away.
Ali Ssekasamba would have pulled one back for Game Boys but shot wide with KCC keeper to beat.
The league takes a two-week break to pave way for the CECAFA meet.
