THE Nile Special Super League sponsors yesterday handed over two sets of uniforms and stockings to the fifteen clubs in the Nile Special Super League. The brief function took place at Speke Hotel’s Rock Garden.

“Last Friday, we handed over 25 soccer balls to each of the clubs. Today, they have received two sets of football uniforms and stockings. This shows the commitment and the passion from our side,” Nile Breweries corporate affairs manager David Nsiyona said at the function.

Nile Breweries brand manager David Kiguli and media manager Oliver Lumonya handed over the uniforms, imported by Katumwa Sports Centre to the different club officials.

FUFA vice president - administration Godfrey Kwizera was grateful to Nile’s offer.
“They are giving us uniforms to advertise their product and we should do it in a great way,” he said.

At the same function, Monitor’s Andrew Jackson Oryada was announced winner of the Castle Lager Best journalist English print award. He gets a prize of sh1.6m and a trophy from Global African football.

At the same function, the FIFA referees got their FIFA and fair play badges.
