PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni once again proved he is a good ball player when he led the Cabinet XI to victory at Namboole stadium on Saturday.

Featuring in a curtain raiser match, Museveni, donning a M7 shirt helped his side to a 5-4 victory against FM radio presenters. Later on, Algerian striker Ammour Amar propelled Les Fennecs — The Desert Foxes — to a 1-0 win over the Cranes.

But all the entertainment and comedy was provided in the Museveni game, which featured a former presidential candidate Charles Senkubuge.

Museveni’s killer passes occasionally made the crowds cheer, though the poor finishing touch of his strikers was frustrating.

Playing on the left flank, the president slotted in the first penalty to spur his side top a memorable win. He was later presented with a trophy for his wonderfully taken goal.

The president also took time off to appreciate Mike Okiror’s offer of a 30-seater bus for the national team. Okiror is former FUFA presidential aspirant and treasurer.
