Soaring temperatures continue to send a scorching heatwave across the country as the dry season gets firmly established.
Kasese beat the rest of the country temperatures recorded in the last 10 days with a record 35.4 degrees centigrade.
Northern Uganda was next with Gulu recording the highest temperatures at 34.3 degrees centigrade and Arua 33 degrees.
The Lake Victoria basin has not been spared. Jinja topped the list at 31.4 degrees centigrade.
“For northern Uganda temperatures around 32 degrees are normal for the dry season with some occasionally going towards 35 degrees. Around the Lake Victoria basin they hover around 28 degrees with hot years tending to 30 degrees,” an official at the Meteorological Centre said.
