SECURITY organs have infiltrated rebel camps in eastern Congo belonging to the Peoples Redemption Army (PRA) of Col. Samson Mande.
Speaking to policemen recently at Namatala Primary School in Mbale, security state minister Muruli Mukasa said intelligence agencies got vital information regarding the rebels operation.
“The PRA is recruiting retrenched civil servants, promising them wealth and a return to political party activities,†he said.
Mukasa said the LRA and PRA had teamed up to destabilise the Government but would be defeated with co-operation from the Sudanese government.
He also said security organs had discovered a plot by Joseph Kony to create a new Acholi tribe because he considers the current generation sinful, corrupt and treacherous to his cause.
“Intelligence has shown that the man plans to create a new tribe,†Mukasa said. Ends
