A passenger transport company is constructing a garage-cum-terminal for their buses in Nalukolongo Industrial Area in Kampala, reports Mikaili Sseppuya. A high cement block wall topped with broken glass encloses the two-acre area, next to the Sembule Steel Mills plant. The manager of Jaguar Executive buses, William Muhumuza, said on Wednesday that they expect to have completed the garage soon and hope to expand their routes further. “We hope we will have finished the garage by April. When everything is in place, we hope to extend our services to more destinations,†he said. He said their buses currently ply the Kigali, Kisenyi, Goma, and Kabale routes among other destinations. “The seven-hour journey to Kigali costs sh20,000 on the Executive bus. Passengers are offered breakfast, newspapers, and a soda. The second bus is sh15,000 and on offer is breakfast, video shows, news. The company’s directors are Jane and Jacob Ruvuma. The company has about 20 coaches and is currently housed at Nakivubo Place road. Ends
