JINJA — Operation Wembley on Saturday arrested five suspected opium dealers in Bugembe. The five were arrested from a cinema hall, Gay Life, where they allegedly sold marijuana, opium and other toxic drugs. They also allegedly posed as Operation Wembley officials and tortured the local people.
LC leaders blamed
KAMULI — The deputy director of mass mobilisation in charge of gender, youth and interest groups at the Movement secretariat, Beatrice Lagada, has blamed council leaders for neglecting women while planning and drawing budgets at the district and sub-county levels. Lagada said there was a big gap between lower women councils and top movement women. She was opening a five-day workshop for women councillors in Kitayundwa sub-county last week. Ends
